Passionate about making finance accessible and empowering, she’s known for turning complex accounting topics into simple, relatable insights that help business owners feel confident and in control of their financial decisions. For Antonia, accounting isn’t just about numbers—it’s about helping small businesses grow and communities thrive.

In her talk on Accounting for Business Success, Antonia sheds light on the accounting essentials every business owner should know—from understanding the industry and avoiding common mistakes, to identifying the key financial indicators that truly matter. Drawing from her hands-on experience supporting small businesses, she’ll share practical strategies to stay financially healthy, make informed decisions, and fix issues before they grow. In this session, Karen Hands explores why so many women still struggle to be heard at work — and why that needs to change. Drawing on her own journey from engineer to leadership expert, and insights from over 5,000 women on Oxford Saïd’s Women’s Leadership Development Programme, Karen reveals how women’s transformational leadership style is exactly what today’s world needs. She’ll also share how networks like City Ladies can help women step up, speak out, and lead with confidence.
Karen Hands is an Associate Fellow at Oxford Saïd Business School and Head Tutor for their online Women’s Leadership Development Programme. With a background in process engineering and project management, she now works as a consultant, coach and Board advisor through Say it Karen Ltd, helping women speak with purpose, passion and poise. Karen is also an angel investor in female-led businesses and the author of Networking Know-how, and she’s passionate about empowering women to lead the change the world needs.

This session will feature an incredible spotlight, Tanisha Vedhara.

Tanisha is a former Research Scientist with a Master’s degree in Biotechnology with Honours from Newcastle University. After working in a traditional 9–5 role, she realised it was not aligned with the life she envisioned and chose to pursue entrepreneurship in search of time freedom and flexibility.

She partnered with a well-established health and wellness network marketing company, where she developed her skills and became a six-figure income earner within two years. Through this journey, Tanisha built multiple streams of income while raising two children.

Today, she leads and mentors a community of thousands of women, teaching them how to build sustainable businesses using social media. She believes these skills are transferable across industries, empowering both new and established businesses to grow and scale with confidence.

Through her business, 5 Circles, she works with business leaders to help them understand their end goals and then adopts a 'sleeves rolled up' approach to helping them get there. She has developed a unique questioning tool that analyses the fundamental components of any business and then builds a road map to success, leveraging her extensive network to support the journey.
